Love Beyond Time

Love Beyond Time explores the power of love and intimacy among those aged 65-80.

Through these intimate portraits, the series challenges stereotypes about ageing and relationships in later life. It reveals how intimacy deepens and transforms over time - not disappearing, but growing more tender, imaginative, and meaningful.

Amid rising loneliness across generations, Love Beyond Time offers a quiet yet powerful reflection on our need for connection in a fast-paced, fragmented world.

It frames the capacity to connect as a revolutionary act: these images trace emotional legacies across generations, affirming that love is a force of resilience, resistance, and radical hope.

The photo series was published in Helsingin Sanomat Kuukausiliite and Perimetro, and exhibited in a solo exhibition at Kontula Senior Center and a group exhibition at Galleria Nykyaika.

The project is ongoing and will be further developed during an artist residency at Villa Karo in Benin in autumn 2026.
